How to deal with unread emails and what to include in your out-of-office reply

It's time to get back to work after a relaxing holiday, but hundreds, if not thousands, of emails await you. Sure, carrying out a bulk delete is a quick way to deal with excessive emails, but is it the best way? A good option is to keep your out-of-offie reply on for a couple of days after your return to work so you can manage a backlog of emails, it is suggested to create a backlog folder and allocate time per email to go through and either delete, delegate or respond. Having a well-written out-of-office reply is important too - language used and a direct approach is necessary. Individuals must avoid drowning in emails otherwise it may induce stress.
